Kibler Charter Fishing on Fort Peck Lake, Montana

Mary Beth's Fishing Report:
January 6, 2012
HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are enjoying the warmest winter I can remember with 40 - 60 degree daytime temperatures and not dropping much at night. It isn't real favorable for ice fishing but we're sure loving it! We did get the tipups out and put new line on them just in case, but I don't expect to be using them much this winter.
It sounds like a few brave souls are fishing at Crooked Creek in the bay but there is a lot of open water out there. Hell Creek Marina tells me you can still launch a boat there. If you decide to go fishing here in eastern Montana, please be careful!
While we wait for spring we are creating our 'Myron Jigs' and are building a new design with a stinger loop. We added a split ring and size 0 blade to the 3/8 oz. jigs and a size 00 blade to the ¼ oz. jigs. The addition of the blade really added to the cost and time involved building these jigs. We're sure looking forward to fishing with them next spring. Come join us and give them a try!

2012 Lodging Reservations:
Please keep in mind that Hell Creek Marina's 11 rooms book early for the months of May - July. June, 2012 may already be booking pretty tight, so if lodging for your 2012 trip to Hell Creek would be to stay at the Marina, I recommend you make reservations now. Call them at 406-557-2345. We will do our best to coordinate your lodging reservations with one of our guides, but please reserve your trip with us when you make lodging arrangements. The Hell Creek State Park is taking reservations for campsites as well. www.fwp.mt.gov/parks/accommodations/reservations. They also have some first come campsites with electrical hookups. If the comforts of Jordan are more to your liking, call Garfield Motel (406-557-6215) or Fellmans Motel (406-557-2209)
